Umut Dikme (born 3 February 2000) is a German snooker player.

Career

He recorded a tournament win on the Q Tour in Heilbronn in 2023 with a 5-1 win over Hamim Hussain in the final.[2] He entered Q School in May 2024, where he recorded a win over Oliver Sykes.[3] Following his performances at the 2024 Q School, Dikme placed forteenth on the 2024 Q School Order of Merit.[4]

2024-25 season

He competed as a top-up player at the 2024 Championship League where he was drawn into a round-robin group with professionals Martin O'Donnell, Rory Thor and Ricky Walden.[5]

He was a quarter-finalist at the WSF Championship in January 2025 before losing to eventual runner-up Brian Cini.[6][7]

He played at Q School event one in May 2025 where he reached the final round only to miss out against former professional Liam Pullen.[8][9] At the second event he defeated Anthony Hamilton in what proved to be Hamilton's final match of a long storied career, having turned pro in 1991, before losing in the penultimate round to Andrew Pagett.[10][11] After his performances at Q School Dikme topped the 2025 Q School Order of Merit.[12]

2025-26 season

Playing as a top-up player he recorded a win over Polish professional Michal Szubarczyk in the qualifying round at the 2025 British Open.[13] He was drawn in the round-robin stage of the 2025 Championship League, a ranking tournament in Leicester in June 2025, against Matthew Selt, Scott Donaldson and Fergal Quinn, earning a 2-2 draw against Donaldson and a 3-0 win over Quinn to finish second in the group behind Selt.[14][15][16] He was a late replacement for Ronnie O'Sullivan at the 2025 Wuhan Open, where he drawn against Allan Taylor.[17]

Personal life

He completed an apprenticeship with Mercedes-Benz. His father was also an amateur snooker player. When in England for tournaments he would often practise at Whetstone Snooker Club and would practise with Alfie Burden, Hammad Miah and Anthony Hamilton.[2]
