Tsz Fu Wong (born 24 September 2005) is a Hong Kong professional tennis player. He has a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 2154 achieved on 22 September 2025 and a doubles ranking of No. 1336 achieved on 22 September 2025.[1] He is the fourth highest current ranked male tennis player from Hong Kong.

Wong has represented the Hong Kong national team in the Davis Cup since 2023.

Personal Life

Wong was born and raised in Hong Kong. He was first introduced to tennis by his mother, Tong Ka-po. His mother owns a tennis academy, where Wong would end up training throughout his junior days. He was educated at the Diocesan Boys' School. In his final year of high school, he moved to the United States of America to complete one year of running start at Bellevue College.

ITF Junior Career

Wong achieved a career-high ITF junior ranking of No. 404 on 04 December 2023.[2]

Overall, Wong compiled a cumulative win-loss record of 28-11 on the ITF Junior Circuit.[4] Wong represented Hong Kong in international competition.

Professional Career

Wong entered the professional circuit in 2024. He has earned $4,401 in prize money. [5]

ATP Tour Debut

Wong's ATP tour debut occurred in the Hong Kong Open (tennis), an ATP 250 event, on 01 January 2024. Although a crowd favorite, he lost to tour veteran Taro Daniel 6-0; 6-3.[6]

Davis Cup

Wong is an active member of the Hong Kong Davis Cup team. As the highest ranked doubles player in Hong Kong, he is regularly deployed to Davis Cup matches. He competed in singles in their exchange against Namibia. In singles, Wong lost to Codie Schalk Van Schalkwyk 7-6; 6-4. [7]He is set to compete in their next exchange against Uzbekistan on 14 September 2025.[8]

ITF Pro Circuit

Wong competed in M15 and M25 events for the majority of the 2025 season. He primarily competed in Asia, South America, and Europe. Wong obtained his first ATP singles point on 01 September 2025 at the M15 Hong Kong. He obtained his first ATP doubles point on 17 June 2024 at the M15 Hong Kong. One notable result was a run to the doubles final of the M15 Hong Kong. Partnered with Hien Pham of AUS, they lost to Korean duo Duckhee Lee/Chan-Yeong Oh by a score of 5-7; 1-6 respectively.[9]

Youtube Channel

In late 2023, Wong began a YouTube channel named James Wong that documented his journey to become the best tennis player he could be. On the channel, he posted a practice session with WTA player Hsieh Su-wei which amassed over 3,000 views to date. He also posted highlight of his ATP debut match against Taro Daniel, amassing over 2,500 views to date. Footage of tennis practices and tournament matches can be found on his channel.[10]
