Associate professor at Eötvös Lorand University (Doctoral School of Environmental Sciences), honorary professor at Szent István University (SzIE/MATE), and visiting lecturer at Corvinus University of Budapest. For a long time, Subject areas or research and lectures: global interactions between the environment and society, sustainable development, international environmental governance, and development of multilateral environmental agreements.
He worked at the Ministry of Environment (Hungary) between 1992 and 2010 in various positions (head of department responsible for environmental strategic planning; coordination of the preparation and implementation of the National Environmental Program; international and EU cooperation from 2004; state secretary responsible for environmental policy and climate policy affairs from 2009).
