Tibero is an enterprise database management system (DBMS) developed by TmaxTibero, a Korean software company and a subsidiary of TmaxData. It supports the construction of database infrastructures that serve as the foundation for enterprise business implementation, addressing challenges of high performance, high availability, and scalability. To overcome the limitations of traditional databases, Tibero employs its proprietary Tibero Thread Architecture. Moreover, it developed the world’s second and Korea’s first Active Clustering technology—TAC (Tibero Active Clustering)—to ensure high availability and performance. With compatibility nearly identical to Oracle’s products, including full SQL support, Tibero is often promoted as an alternative to the Oracle Database.
