Shree Upadhyaya (born 24 July 1996) is an Indian actress, model and wellness practitioner. She has appeared in Indian television serials, independent films, web series, commercials, and theatre productions. She is also the founder of Mystique, a wellness brand offering therapy and spiritual guidance.[1]

Early life and education

Upadhyaya was born on 24 July 1996.[2] She holds a BSc in Psychology from City, University of London, and a BA in Literature and Psychology from IGNOU.[1] She has also trained in access consciousness, cognitive behavioural therapy, and other specializations in mental health.[1]

Upadhyaya trained in dance with Danceworx (Ashley Lobo) and studied Kathak, jazz, salsa and belly dance. She also trained in musical theatre at City Lit, London.[2]

Modelling and ramp shows

Upadhyaya has worked in fashion campaigns and print modelling for brands including Cipla, Abbott, Amazon and Craftsvilla.[1] She was a semi-finalist in the Mumbai auditions for Miss Universe India in 2016 and has walked in fashion weeks and jewellery shows such as CTDC Fashion Week, IMFFJ Jewels and Kalamandir Jewels.[2]

She has appeared in numerous advertisements and brand films, including for MDH Spices, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Petroleum, Amazon, Zee5, Good Health and Gogas.[1]

Theatre

Upadhyaya began acting in theatre productions in 2009. She has worked under directors such as Arvind Gaur (Warren Hastings Ka Saand), Kuljeet Singh (Laughter on the 23rd Floor), Vikram Kochhar (50 Shades of Pink), Sunny Bhambhani (Devdasi), and Ravi Sharma (Panchkanya).[2] She has also performed in street plays with Asmita Theatre and Barry John workshops.[2]

Anchoring and voice work

Upadhyaya has hosted and anchored corporate films and AVs for Saint Gobain, Jaro Education and ICICI.[1] She has also recorded voiceovers for brands including Cocomo, Jolly Fat Go and Equisulin.[2]

Wellness and therapy

Alongside acting, Upadhyaya is the founder of Mystique, a wellness initiative offering interpersonal therapy, lightwork, tarot readings and workshops.[1] She is also noted for her child rights activism in association with government initiatives.[1]
