The School of Computer, Data & Information Sciences is a division of the University of Wisconsin-Madison uniting its computer science and statistics departments with its information school. It was created in 2019 to unite these three previously separate units.[1] The school's vision is to drive university leadership in AI and support a growing number of students interested in majoring in computing-related areas. [2]
In 2025, construction was finished on a building dedicated to the department.[3] The building is called Morgridge Hall in honor of John Morgridge, who donated more than half of the cost of the building. [4]
