His poem “Footnotes of This House” was shortlisted for the Prism International Pacific Spirit Poetry Prize, with Canadian writer and educator Mercedes Eng noting its use of numbered footnotes to reflect historical trauma.[3] UK's South Warwickshire Literary Festival recognized his work for blending language to conjure home. [4] At the Wales Poetry Awards ceremony, UK poet and T.S. Eliot Prize-shortlisted author Denise Saul noted his work for its relevance in a world of flux and shifts in human life.
