Roman Parodie (born April 4, 2002) is an American football cornerback. He played college football at Ohio and signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2025.[1]

Early life and high school

Parodie was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and attended Cardinal Gibbons High School, where he was a two-year letterwinner in football and also competed in track and field.[2]

College career

At Ohio, Parodie redshirted in 2020 and appeared in all 12 games in 2021, recording 23 tackles, two interceptions and five pass breakups with one sack.[2] He played in 13 games with four starts in 2023 and made 20 tackles, including two for loss, returning a fumble for a touchdown against Bowling Green on September 23, 2023.[2] In 2024 he started all 13 games, finishing with 51 tackles (29 solo), an interception, 11 pass breakups and two fumble recoveries.[2]

Professional career

After going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, Parodie signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in April 2025.[3][4] In his first preseason game, he returned an interception 39 yards for a touchdown against the Tennessee Titans on August 9, 2025.[5]

On August 26, 2025, the Buccaneers waived Parodie as part of their final roster cuts to reach the 53-man limit.[6] He reverted to injured reserve the following day, August 27, 2025.[7] On September 2, 2025, Tampa Bay waived Parodie from injured reserve with an injury settlement, making him a free agent.[8]
