Early in his career he worked as a rock-and-roll roadie and lighting operator for several internationally recognised acts, operating lights for artists such as Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Midnight Oil, Roxette, Chris Isaak and Cliff Richard.[6] His transition from touring production into communication and presentation design laid the foundation for his later work as an entrepreneur and speaker. Over more than two decades the company has grown into a well-known presentation consultancy, working with multinational corporations, senior leaders and professional speakers on high-stakes presentations and communication programmes. [10]

Over the course of his speaking career, Mulholland has shared platforms with a range of globally recognised speakers, including Malcolm Gladwell, Seth Godin and will.i.am.
