RetroStyle Games is a Ukrainian video game art studio that specializes in full-cycle 2D and 3D art production, animation, UI/UX design, and video game development. The studio has collaborated with international developers and publishers, including Sega, 11 bit studios, Relic Entertainment, Ubisoft, Haiku Games, and others.
RetroStyle Games has developed its own original intellectual properties, such as Ocean Keeper: Dome Survival, Zombie Run, and Last Pirate Survival.
History
[edit]The studio was founded in 2010 in Kyiv, Ukraine, by Pavel Konstantinov. It began operations by creating casual mobile games, later switching to art outsourcing[2].
Between 2016 and 2020, the studio expanded its 2D and 3D departments and reached more than 350 clients[3]. In 2022, RetroStyle Games began providing new services, including Unity and Unreal Engine game development[4]. In 2023, the company reached $5 million in annual revenue[5].
In 2024, RetroStyle Games reached $7 million in annual revenue and was listed among the largest game art studios in Eastern Europe[6]. It began developing its own roguelike survival game, Ocean Keeper: Dome Survival[7].
In July 2024, Ocean Keeper: Dome Survival was released into early access[8]. In May 2025, the studio released the 1.0 version of the game on Steam[9].
Activity
[edit]RetroStyle Games collaborated with video game development studios across more than 10 countries, including Ukraine, the United States, Canada, Malta, Germany, Poland, and Japan. The clients include Zynga, Sega, Disney, Ubisoft, Gamegos, Blankhans, Haiku Games, 11 bit studios, and Relic Entertainment[10].
RetroStyle Games’ outsourcing solutions include 2D/3D game art, 2D/3D animation, UI design, Icon and Logo design, 2D/3D character design, and full-cycle game development.

[edit]In 2024, RetroStyle Games received multiple Tech Behemoths awards. It got awarded for Graphic Design, Mobile App Development, and UX/UI design[11][12][13].
Public Activities
[edit]RetroStyle Games has supported different social events in Ukraine. In 2024, the studio organized practice for the students of the Salvador Dali Academy of Contemporary Arts[14].
In February 2025, the studio hosted a master class at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, with a goal to share experience in game design[15].
In 2025, the company participated in the Career Labyrinth, collaborating with Kyiv National Economic University[16].
RetroStyle Games also hosted a 2D/3D fan artist contest in 2024, featuring the release of Ocean Keeper: Dome Survival[17][18].
