Rajarshi Lahiri is an Indian politician and media panelist associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Indian state of West Bengal. Early life and education
[edit]Rajarshi Lahiri was born in Kolkata, West Bengal. He completed his undergraduate studies at Jadavpur University and later earned an MBA from IIM Lucknow. Before entering politics, he worked as a business analyst in the private sector.
Political career
[edit]Lahiri is one of the official media spokespersons of the BJP West Bengal unit. As a media panelist, he participates in televised debates and public discussions to represent the party’s policies and responses to current issues.
In July 2023, Lahiri filed a complaint with the Kolkata Police against Abhishek Banerjee, a Trinamool Congress MP, for allegedly making inflammatory remarks that encouraged the unlawful confinement of BJP workers during a political agitation.[1]
Ideological beliefs
[edit]Rajarshi Lahiri publicly identifies himself as a practicing Hindu and a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) swayamsevak. His political commentary often emphasizes nationalism, Hindu cultural values, and economic development.
