Rade Čubrilo (born Raduč 1954) is a serbian publicist having made book such as "USPON I PAD KRAJINE"(rise and fall of Krajina) and former military leader. He has also regained renown in recent years for going on podcasts such as Balkan Info and talking about his time in the military and his opinions on the course of the war
Biography
[edit]He was born in a četnik family, He served in the French Foreign Legion. May 1992 he was given the prestigious title of Vojvoda along with Vojislav Šešelj by Momčilo Đujić. He commanded in the Serbian Army of Krajina, commanding the Velebit unit (Velebitske Jedinice) participating in the defence of Republic of Serbian Krajina against croatian forces, in battles such as Battle of Gospić. He is criticized by some because he self reportedly rested for 2 days before the start of Operation Storm due to it being the Slava (tradition) of Elijah. He was sentenced in absentia to 15 years in prison by the croatian government for the reported death of 5 civilians [1] [2][3]
