RANION was the Russian Association of Scientific Research Institutes of Social Sciences (Russian: Российская ассоциация научно-исследовательских институтов общественных наук, romanized: Rossiiskaia assotsiatsiia nauchno-issledovatel'skikh institutov obshchestvennykh nauk). The association existed in various forms from 1924 to 1930.[1]
In 1926 it comprised of the following institutes:
- Institute of Economics
- History
- Scientific Philosophy
- Soviet Law
- Agricultural Economics
- Land Management and Resettlement
- Economic and Geographical in Leningrad
- Experimental Psychology
- Linguistics and History of Literature
- Archaeology and Art History
- Comparative Study of Literature and Languages of the Peoples of the West and the East,
