Plumbbob Smoky, also known by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency as Shot SMOKY, was a top-secret nuclear test conducted in Area T2c of the Yucca Flat at the Nevada National Security Site (NTS) on August 31, 1957, as part of Operation Plumbbob, a series of nuclear tests.
