Philip Timo Rogers, known as Phil Rogers, born 2 June 1969, is a British business executive who since August 2025 has been CEO of Embracer Group.[1]
Biography and career
[edit]Phil Rogers holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.
In 2008 he was appointed CEO of Eidos Interactive.[2] When the company was acquired by Square Enix[3] in 2009, he became CEO of Square Enix Europe, a position he held until 2013. He then served as CEO of Square Enix Europe and America until August 2022. Between June 2013 and June 2018 he was also a member of the board of Square Enix Holdings.[4]
Following Embracer Group's acquisition of Crystal Dynamics and Eidos[5] in 2022, Rogers was appointed CEO of the newly created operating unit Crystal Dynamics – Eidos. In the summer of 2024 he assumed additional responsibilities as Deputy CEO[6] of Embracer Group while remaining CEO of Crystal Dynamics – Eidos. In the spring of 2025 he also took on responsibility for the operating group Plaion.[7] On 1 August 2025 he became CEO of Embracer Group[1], succeeding the company's founder Lars Wingefors.
