Paul Dalgarno is a Scottish-born, Australia-based author and journalist. He is the author of the memoir And You May Find Yourself (2015), the novels Poly (2020) and A Country of Eternal Light (2023), and the nonfiction book Prudish Nation (2023). He has been Deputy Editor of The Conversation (Australia) and is Managing Editor of ScreenHub. A Country of Eternal Light was shortlisted for The Age Book of the Year and the Readings New Australian Fiction Prize in 2023.[1][2][3]

Early life and career

Dalgarno was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, and emigrated to Australia in 2010. In Scotland he was a senior features writer, columnist and (Deputy) Weekend Features Editor at The Herald and Sunday Herald. In Australia he served as a launch editor and later Deputy Editor (also Arts and Science Editor) at The Conversation.[4]
