Oliver Burian (born 18 May 2001) is a Slovak former football player who played as a left back. He is currently the main scout of Spartak Trnava.
Burian had previously been head coach of the under-14[1] and under-15 side of Spartak Trnava, winning the youth league with the latter of the two.[2][3]
Playing career
[edit]Burian is a graduate of the Spartak Trnava youth academy, previously playing for the youth sides of the club.[4] He made his professional debut for the club in a 2–0 home loss to FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda, coming on as a substitute in the 81th minute for Martin Gamboš.[5] At his time at Spartak, Burian mainly played for it’s feeder club Dynamo Malženice.[6] In 2020, it was announced that he would be joining 2. Liga side FC Petržalka on a season-long loan.[7]
International
[edit]In 2017, Burian received his first call up to the Slovakia U16 team, being nominated to play in a youth tournament in Poland.[8] He would later also be nominated for the Slovakia U17 side.[9][10]
Post-playing career
[edit]On 13 June 2025, it was announced that Burian would become a scout for Spartak Trnava.[11] He was praised for the signing of Giorgi Moistsrapishvili.[12]
