OV Varadhan Ozhukarai Vadivel Varadhan, commonly known as OV Varadhan, is an Indian politician and social worker from Tamil Nadu. He is best known for his grassroots involvement in local governance and his long-standing association with the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) party.

Early Life and Education OV Varadhan was born in Ozhukarai village, located in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, India. He grew up in a politically active family; his father was a respected politician and a local leader, who greatly influenced Varadhan's early interest in public service.

He completed his secondary education in Kanchipuram and later graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Pachaiyappa’s College, Kanchipuram.

Political Career At the age of 23, OV Varadhan was elected as the village president of Ozhukarai, becoming one of the youngest leaders in the region. His early success in local governance was marked by a focus on grassroots development and public welfare.

When M.G. Ramachandran (MGR) founded the AIADMK, Varadhan joined the party and became an active member. Over the years, he has worked extensively for the betterment of his community, focusing on education, sanitation, and rural development.

Social Work Apart from his political career, OV Varadhan is also known for his social service, often engaging directly with villagers and supporting initiatives aimed at empowering youth and women.

Legacy Varadhan remains a prominent figure in Kanchipuram district politics and continues to serve the people at the ground level, reflecting a life dedicated to public service.
