OG Pressure (born James Logan, August 24, 1987) is an American rapper, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of Rocket City Records, inc, an independent label based in Huntsville, Alabama. Over his career, he has achieved Billboard chart success, earned songwriting and production credits, and steadily released music into the mid-2020s.[1][2]
Early life
[edit]James Logan was born on August 24, 1987, in Hazel Green, Alabama, and raised in nearby Huntsville, Alabama. He grew up as one of the few Black families in the area and spent summers on his grandparents’ farm in Berkley, Alabama.[2] He began making music around the age of 12, inspired by a musically creative family environment.[2]
Career

[edit]In 2012, Logan signed with Slip-N-Slide Records, which laid the groundwork for Rocket City Records.[1] He later had affiliations with Republic Records, The Orchard (2020), and entered a distribution partnership with Roc Nation in 2022.[3]
Breakthrough and Billboard success
[edit]OG Pressure first gained recognition with the single "Extra," which charted on the Billboard Top 200.[1] He achieved greater success with "Find You Now" (featuring Rick Ross), which reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100.[1] Other charting songs include "King of My City" (Billboard Top 200) and "Everything" (with Duncan Morley), which peaked at #12 on iTunes.[1]
