Nybsys is a technology company specializing in telecommunications, networking, and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. Founded in 2010, it develops hardware and software for private cellular networks, edge computing, and unified communications. Nybsys operates through Nybsys Inc. in the United States and NybSys (Pvt) Ltd. in Bangladesh.
Overview
[edit]Nybsys develops private 5G networks, edge computing platforms, and unified communication systems for enterprise and industrial applications. Its technologies include software-defined networking, small-cell radio systems, and LTE and 5G communication technologies. The company has collaborated with technology partners including Intel, Dell, Advantech, Wind River Systems, and Lanner Electronics.
History
[edit]Nybsys was founded by Moshtaq Ahmed, a Bangladeshi technologist and entrepreneur. In 2010, Ahmed established Nybsys with operations in South Africa and Bangladesh, focusing on research and development, IoT, and AI- and ML-enabled solutions. Before Nybsys, Ahmed had founded DataNet in Eswatini in 2006 to legally receive consultancy payments as a foreign professional, which later became the foundation for his technology ventures, and worked in senior roles on public sector projects in Africa, including with UNICEF and the Government of Eswatini.[1]
Early Nybsys projects included private 4G and 5G networks, enterprise IT solutions, and digital infrastructure services. From 2009 to 2018, the company worked on national fire and emergency networks with IP telephony, collaborated with Cisco on emergency call and dispatch systems, and implemented a Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) software integrated with IP phones and radio networks. In 2018, Nybsys completed its first military-grade LTE deployment and launched its Push-to-Talk operational voice solution, Sentra.
International Expansion
[edit]Nybsys expanded to Eswatini, Lesotho, Singapore, and the United States.
Event Participation
[edit]Nybsys has participated in events including Embedded World 2025, MWC Barcelona 2025, and BASIS SoftExpo 2023.[2]
