Nguyễn Thị Phương Thanh (born 2001) is a Vietnamese actress and model. She gained national attention as the lead in the 2025 horror film *Út Lan – Oán Linh Giữ Của*.[1]
Thanh studied fine arts at HCMUAF and transitioned to acting in 2025.[2] She auditioned seven times before securing the lead role, as revealed in an interview.[3]
Her performance was noted by multiple Vietnamese media outlets for her expressive style and distinctive voice.[4]
Career
[edit]In 2025, Phương Thanh made her professional acting debut as the lead character in the theatrical horror film Út Lan – Oán Linh Giữ Của, directed by Trần Trọng Dần.[5] The film features supernatural themes and co-stars actors Quốc Trường and Mạc Văn Khoa.
Phương Thanh was cast as the titular character Út Lan, a role that attracted attention from local media due to her youthful appearance and screen presence. Several Vietnamese publications highlighted her as a new Gen Z actress with a pure and natural image.[6][7]
