NeoBards Entertainment is known for its work on numerous games such as the Devil May Cry HD Collection, Onimusha: Warlords Remaster, Resident Evil: Resistance, Resident Evil Re:Verse, and Marvel's Avengers.[1][2][3] In 2022, Konami announced the collaboration with NeoBards Entertainment on SILENT HILL f.[4]

History

[edit]

NeoBards Entertainment was founded in 2017 by experienced developers who have worked with publishers such as Capcom, Square Enix, Sony, Ubisoft and Activision. The company debuted its efforts by developing high-definition remasters of Devil May Cry and Onimusha: Warlords.[5][6][7]

In September 2019, NeoBards Entertainment was announced at the Tokyo Game Show as the developer of Resident Evil: Resistance, an asymmetrical online survival horror game set in the universe of Resident Evil.[8][9]

The company was responsible for giving Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 the next-gen treatment, adding ray tracing, high frame rate modes, and 3D audio to bring these games to new platforms.[10] NeoBards Entertainment also participated in the development of Resident Evil Re:Verse, an online multiplayer mode released in 2022.[11]

In September 2024, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, brought to next-gen consoles by NeoBards Entertainment, was released with improvements on graphics and systems.[12]

In October 2022, NeoBards Entertainment was revealed as the developer of SILENT HILL f, a spin-off of the Silent Hill franchise.[13] In March 2025, the series producer Motoi Okamoto, the scriptwriter Ryukishi07, and the music composer Akira Yamaoka provided more details about the game in the SILENT HILL Transmission.[14] In June 2025, NeoBards Entertainment's developers were featured in the Behind-the-Scenes video, sharing core elements of the game and visual designs, and emphasizing the concept: to "find the beauty in terror."[15][16][17] The game is slated for release on September 25, 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store.
