Mohammed Noori ( born 11 January 1999) is a Kurdish journalist and political activist from Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. He is known for his investigative reporting on human rights, corruption, and threats to press freedom in the Kurdistan Region.
Early life and education
[edit]Noori was born in Sulaymaniyah, a major city in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. He developed an interest in journalism in his early years and began his professional work in media around 2024.
Career
[edit]Noori has contributed to various independent media platforms in Iraqi Kurdistan. His work primarily focuses on exposing political corruption, social injustices, and violence against journalists. He has reported on cases involving suppression of press freedom and the targeting of journalists and activists by both state and non-state actors.
In addition to his journalism, Noori is active in advocating for the safety of media professionals in the region. He has written extensively about the assassination of journalists and the need for accountability and justice.[1]
