Mehrandish Books
[edit]Mehrandish Books was established in August 1998 based on a license issued by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. Contemporary and ancient Iranian and world literature, political and social sciences, psychology, and history constitute the main areas of interest of Mehrandish Books.
Care in compiling, translating, and publishing works, observing a specific and defined writing style, and preserving visual aesthetics in page layout and cover design are among the issues that Mehrandish Books is determined to strive to observe and achieve higher standards over time.
Mehrandish Books has published over 400 book titles so far. The translation of Henrik Ibsen's plays from Norwegian under the supervision of the Ibsen Center of the University of Oslo, a collection of works in the field of Rumi studies, a collection of classical and contemporary plays, and a bilingual publication of William Shakespeare's plays with commentary are among the books published by Mehrandish. Mehdi Sojoudi Moghaddam, a graduate of English literature and Persian language and literature, is the director of Mehrandish Books, and nearly 200 book titles, including translations, writings, poem collections and editing, are registered in the National Library and Archives of Iran.
Mehrandish books was the first publisher to publish Michelle Obama's book "Becoming" in Persian, which is currently in its 62nd printing.[1]
