Khuda Ali Sher (also Khuda Alisher (CT)) is a village located in the Union territory of Chandigarh, India. It falls under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh and is one of the peripheral villages of the city.[1] The village is known for its agricultural background and growing suburban development.[2][3][4]
Demographics
[edit]Khuda Ali Sher is situated on the border of Punjab and Haryana, and spans an area of about 564 acres. The village has an estimated population of around 15,000. It lies outside the limits of the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, and the residents have expressed their preference to remain outside its jurisdiction. However, the village faces several civic challenges, including inadequate water and electricity supply, and a lack of basic safety measures for residents, especially children.[5]
