Kernaghan Adjusters is a Canadian insurance claims adjusting firm, headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia.[1][2]

History

[edit]

Kernaghan Adjusters was founded on May 01, 1953 by Stanley J. Kernaghan in Winnipeg, after he began his insurance career in 1946 and served as a claims adjuster with General Accident.[3] In 1969, the company became Canada’s first privately owned national independent adjusting firm.[4]

Stanley’s daughter, Patti M. Kernaghan, joined the company in 1988 and became President and Chief Executive Officer.[5][6]

The company has multiple offices across various locations including Halifax, Toronto, Winnipeg and London.[7] Kernaghan Adjusters has previously worked with the Alberta Motor Association, FedEx, and Hub International, among others.[8]
