Kane Ellis Taylor (born 20 February 2005) is an English professional footballer who plays as an midfielder for Aston Villa. Taylor is a product of the Aston Villa Academy and he also spent time in the Manchester City Elite Development Squad, before re-signing for Aston Villa in 2024.
Club career
[edit]Kane Taylor began his career at the academy of Aston Villa in 2016. He then transferred to the academy of Manchester City in 2019 before returning to Aston Villa on 20 August 2024 for a reported fee of £750,000.[2]
He has played in the EFL Trophy for both Aston Villa and Manchester City's U21 sides.
On 20 March 2025, Taylor appeared for Aston Villa's seniors during a 3–1 friendly win against UAE Pro League club Al Ain in which he scored; this was part of a mid-season training camp.[3][4]
