Comment: Fails WP:MUSICBIO / WP:NCREATIVE. The Berklee College of Music website is a primary source and therefore not independent. The RIAA website doesn't mention or acknowledge him (noting the song was certified platinum not his sound engineering work). Jaxsta is not an acceptable or reliable source. Justin Sheriff is an American audio engineer, music producer, and educator. He is known for his engineering work on viral and commercially successful tracks and is currently an Assistant Professor in the Music Production and Engineering Department at Berklee College of Music.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Sheriff graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2016 with a dual major in Music Production & Engineering and Electronic Production & Design.[2]
Career
[edit]Audio engineering
[edit]Sheriff began his career at Cybersound Studios in Boston in 2012.[3] His work includes engineering and mixing for music, film, and multimedia projects. According to a 2020 *Seacoast Online* profile, his production credits include collaborations with both independent artists and commercially successful releases.[1]
In 2023, Sheriff was credited with engineering the track "Ashes" by Stellar, which gained viral popularity and was later certified Platinum by the RIAA.[4]
Teaching
[edit]Sheriff currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Berklee College of Music, where he teaches courses in music production and audio engineering.[5]
