Josh Dede (born 4 January 2006) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a defender for EFL Championship club Middlesbrough. He is a Scotland youth international.[1]
Club career
[edit]Celtic
[edit]A product of the Celtic academy, he played for the club's B team and trained with the first-team without making his senior debut.[2]
Middlesborough
[edit]He joined EFL Championship club Middlesbrough on 31 January 2025.[3] He was named as a substitute for the Middlesbrough first team for five Championship games after joining but after struggling with a toe injury suffered in March for the Under-21s against Liverpool U21, he had surgery at the end of the 2024-25 season.[4]
International career
[edit]He is a Scotland youth international featuring at U17 and U19 level.[5]
Style of play
[edit]He is a right-back but also considered comfortable playing further forward on the wing.[6]
