Comment: Content is weakly sourced, and also not written to WP:MOS. Suggest you reduce uncited bullets, set into prose. Prose should be expanded. Pegnawl (talk) 00:47, 16 September 2025 (UTC)
Joe Polish (born February 4, 1968) is an American author and businessman. He has established his career in promoting learning in marketing and addiction recovery advocacy.[1] Polish founded Piranha Marketing, Genius Network, and Genius Recovery, making him a popular individual among entrepreneurs.[according to whom?]
Early life and education
[edit]Brought up in America, Polish has been open about the personal vices that defined his youth, primarily his addiction.[2] After beginning at community college in Arizona, he gave up formal schooling and started his own business in the the carpet cleaning industry.[3] This is where he began to develop his marketing strategies that helped him enhance his own business by creating advertising and sales campaigns.[4][5]
Career
[edit]Piranha Marketing
[edit]In the 1990s, Polish founded Piranha Marketing with the aim of assisting small service businesses in promoting themselves better.[6][7]
Genius Network
[edit]Polish established Genius Network in 1998, an organization whose purpose is to connect entrepreneurs and help them collaborate and grow.[8][9] The network operates through different levels of memberships, and holds an annual conference with business individuals and intellectual leaders globally. Those attendees have included Tony Robbins[10], Richard Branson, Tim Ferriss, and Arianna Huffington.[3][11]
In the book Millionaire Success Habits, the author Dean Graziosi mentions he participated in Genius Network and Joe had assisted him in "improving his marketing skills". [12]
Genius Recovery
[edit]In 2018, Polish established Genius Recovery, a 501(c)(3) organization focused on addiction recovery, education and promoting awareness. The organization achieves this through education initiatives, media ventures, and advocacy.[13][14]
Podcasts and media
[edit]Polish has created and co-hosted a number of business-centered podcasts: The Joe Polish Show, I Love Marketing (with Dean Jackson), The Genius Network Podcast, and 10xTalk (with Dan Sullivan).
These shows include interviews with business owners, marketers, and authors, debating personal growth and business success.

[edit]Polish has written or co-written a variety of books. The latest one has been What's In It For Them?, which focuses on relationship-building, trust and rapport.[15] There is also his book called Life Gives to the Giver, that discusses the concept of fundamental dominos in different areas of someone's life.[16] He has also co-written books about addiction recovery such as The Miracle Morning for Addiction Recovery, written with Hal Elrod; and Understanding Addiction and Recovery, written with Anna David, which is an addiction psychology study.
Documentaries and films
[edit]There are two documentaries that have featured Joe Polish's life and advocacy work. One of them is Connected: The Joe Polish Story (2018). This movie documents Polish's journey from addiction to his business achievement.[2] The second documentary is Black Star, which is a short film co-produced with Jon Butcher and Akira Chan. This is focused on how art has a healing effect and helps stop the vicious cycle of addiction.[17]
