James Patrick Davis is an American actor known for his role as Will Parker in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!, on Broadway Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, the West End , the Young Vic Olivier Award for Best Revival of a musical in London, St. Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn, and Bard Summerscape. He won a Theatre World Award for his breakout performance and can be heard on the Grammy-nominated cast album. He made his Broadway debut in John Guare's The House of Blue Leaves.[citation needed]
Early life
[edit]Davis grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. He is a graduate of The Juilliard School in New York City. He began his career at the Shakespeare Theater in Washington, D.C. playing Juliet in Romeo and Juliet opposite Finn Wittrock.[1]
