Jilling van Dijk (August 13, 1918 – ) was a Dutch chess player. He was born in the municipality of Velsen located in the province of North Holland in Netherlands, in 1918.[citation needed]
He is consider as one of first winners tying Philip Bakker, whose a Dutchmen chess player also, accompanying in the same tournament as him, titling Tata Steel Chess Tournament.[1][2] Historically in 1938, it was titled "Hoogovenstoernooi 1938, Invitatiegroep, Round Robin"; in 1938, meanwhile the Hoogovens Tournament were to concluded, the two final rankings were received to Jilling Van Dijk, scoring the total of 2½/3.[3][4]
Jilling Van Dijk also participate in the second Hoogovens Tournament in 1939; however, when he then participate in the second tournament, he consequently was placed in 3rd place.
