As a composer, he is known for composing The Snoopy Show and subsequent Peanuts specials released on Apple TV+, Science Fair, A Christmas Story Christmas, Stormy, the 2025 remake of Snow White,[2][3] and Poetic License.[4] In 2022, he received a nomination at the 1st Children's and Family Emmy Awards for Outstanding Music Direction and Composition for an Animated Program for his work on the Peanuts special Snoopy Presents: To Mom (and Dad), With Love.[5]
Early life and education
[edit]Morrow was raised in a musical family in Toronto. He would go on to study jazz composition at McGill University composing for their chamber jazz ensemble and big band. He also played in various groups as a trombonist, before realizing he "enjoyed writing music for other people to play a lot more.”[6]
Career
[edit]Following his time at McGill, Morrow searched online for music production in Toronto before sending a demo disc to the Eggplant Collective production company. He was hired by Eggplant and spent the next five years there writing music for television and advertising. In 2012, he was selected as one of two composers-in-residence for the Slaight Music Lab at the Canadian Film Centre, leading to him receiving more film work. Morrow currently works from both Toronto and Los Angeles.[7]
