Honghai Li, also known as Hai, is the author of the TimeDoc MOOK series and the founder and producer of TimeDoc Documentary Film Production Co., Ltd. He is a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, and an alumnus of Harvard Business School's OPM program.
He has summited Mount Everest twice and holds two China Records. He served as the assistant director of the acclaimed TV series The Grand Mansion Gate. As an investor and producer, his film and documentaries have received more than ten domestic and international awards, including the Telly Awards (USA),[1] the Golden Horse Awards (Taiwan), and the China International New Media Short Film Award.[2]
Hong Hai is also the inventor of several patented video processing technologies. He is the author of over ten books, including the TimeDoc MOOK series, Chinese at Harvard,[3] and Immigrants and the Sea.[4] He is also the co-founder of the China Foundation for Rural Development, a lifetime member of the Society of Entrepreneurs & Ecology, and an executive director of the Committee 2005.
