George Pragnell is an English snooker player.
Early life
[edit]He was born in Walthamstow. His family moved to Harlow when he was six years-old before later relocating to Norwich, where he started playing snooker with his father at the age of 12 years-old.[1]
Career
[edit]He reached the last-16 of the 2018 Paul Hunter Classic, with his run including wins over David Gilbert and Norwich practise partner Barry Pinches.[1]
In 2022 he lost in tbe final of the Q Tour event in Brighton to Martin O'Donnell.[2] He was invited to play in the qualifying rounds for the 2023 World Snooker Championships where he lost 10-8 in the first round against Ashley Hugill.[3]
He reached the penultimate round of the second event of 2025 Q School before losing to Patrick Whelan (snooker player).[4] After his performances at Q School he was ranked tenth in the 2025 Q School Order of Merit.[5]
As a top-up player, he was drawn in the round-robin stage of the 2025 Championship League against Cheung Ka Wai, Zhang Anda and Chris Totten, finishing second in his group after earning a 2-2 draw against Cheung and defeating Totten 3-1.[6][7]
Personal life
[edit]A keen football fan, he is a support of Tottenham Hotspurs.[1]
