Ganguram (also known as Ganguram Sweets) is an Indian confectionery and sweet shop chain based in Kolkata, West Bengal. Founded in 1885 by Ganguram Chaurasia, the brand is known for traditional Bengali sweets and has multiple retail outlets across Kolkata and elsewhere in India.[1][2]
History
[edit]Ganguram Chaurasia moved to Kolkata from Varanasi in the late 19th century and established a small sweet shop in Manicktala (north Kolkata) in 1885. The shop expanded over the decades and became well known locally for sweets such as rasgulla, sandesh and chomchom.[3]

[edit]Ganguram produces a range of traditional Bengali desserts including Rasgulla, Sandesh, Rosomalai and Mishti doi. It also offers seasonal and specialty items using Nolen Gur (date-palm jaggery) during winter months as is typical for Kolkata sweetmakers.[4]
