G.Fisher aka Fisher (born August 16, 1983) is an American rapper from the Bronx, New York. He is the son of former drug trafficker and entrepreneur Guy Fisher and the grandson of Harlem figure Red Dillard Morrison [1]. Emerging from the underground hip hop scene in New York, he has gained recognition for his boom bap style and appearances on nationally broadcast freestyle programs such as Sway Calloway’s Sway in the Morning and DJ Eclipse’s Rap Is Outta Control. [2] [3]

Early life
[edit]G.Fisher was born in the Bronx, New York. During his youth, Fisher spent time in Atlanta before relocating to Baltimore. His early environment, shaped by both entrepreneurial influences and exposure to different hip hop scenes, fostered his interest in pursuing a career as an artist.[4]
Career
[edit]Fisher first performed under the name Golden Child / G. Child in Baltimore, where he was featured in a 2001 The Baltimore Sun profile as part of the rap collective C-Preme Team.[5] The group released its debut CD Jewel for the Streets before evolving into Street Affiliated, which worked with producers including The Heatmakerz and TrackStar Productions.[6]
After returning to New York, he began recording as G.Fisher and issued the project Murda’G Wrote, accompanied by an official video.[7] Around this time he also recorded material for an unreleased project titled God MC at D&D Studios, among the final sessions held there before its closure. [8] The album was slated to feature production by DJ Premier, The Alchemist, Showbiz, and Lord Finesse, as confirmed during a 2016 appearance on DJ Eclipse’s Rap Is Outta Control.[9]
By the mid-2010s Fisher had established himself in the Bronx underground, releasing the DJ Premier–produced single "Fish Over Premier" and gaining coverage from outlets such as HipHopDX and AllHipHop for singles like "Gangstas and Hustlas" and "They Need Security".[10][11] He also appeared on the posse cut "Mercenaries" with Chris Rivers and Emilio Rojas.[12]
During this period he built visibility through nationally broadcast freestyles, appearing on Shade 45 programs including Sway in the Morning, Rap Is Outta Control, and ShowOff Radio.[13][14] These sessions helped cement his reputation as a skilled lyricist within East Coast hip hop.
In 2019 he released BXROC, a collaborative album with producer Kidd Called Quest that included guest appearances from Axel Leon and D_Dave.[15] He followed with a collaboration with D Dave (known as GFDD) titled Quarantine (2020) and another solo album Superfly Returns (2022), the latter featuring contributions from O.C., Kool G Rap, Termanology, and producer Motif Alumni.[16] In 2023, he appeared on the single "Rap Rap" by Rayne Storm alongside Planet Asia.[17]
Over his career, Fisher has also worked with producers including Music Mystro, Soultronik, Vinny Idol, Dark Keys, and D-Block affiliate Khardier Da God. ---
Personal life
[edit]G.Fisher is the cousin of former Villanova basketball player Corey Fisher. [18]
His mother, Pingke Dubignon, ran for the 2022 Georgia State Senate election and published the novel Merci of the Gods (An Anunnaki Trilogy, Book I) in 2025.[19][20]
