Frederik Karl Krag-Juel-Vind-Friis, Count of Frijsenborg and Baron of Juellinge (9 January 1753 – 10 April 1815) was a Danish nobleman, landowner and government official.
Early life and education
[edit]Krag-Juel-Vind-Friis was born on 9 January 1753 to count Jens Krag-Juel-Vind and Sofie Magdalene von Gram. He earned a law degree from the University of Copenhagen in 1773.[1]
Career
[edit]In 1772, Jrag-Juel-Vind-Friis was employed as an assistant (Auscultant) at the Supreme Court. In 1774-76, he was a court page ( Kammerjunker) for Heraldry Prince Frederik's spouse. On 22 April 1776, he was promoted to chamberlain. On 7 January 1778, he was appointed Supreme Court justice. From 25 March 1782 to 25 May 1804, he served as Diocesan Governor of Lolland-Falster and county governor of Nyløbing, Aalholm, Helsted Priory and Maribo counties. [1]

Om 1810, he inherited Frijsenborg. In 1803, he was created a Knight of the Order of the Dannebrog.[2]
Personal life
[edit]On 4 April 1777, Krag-Juel-Vind-Friis was wed to Frederikke Juliane Holsitein-Ledreborg (1758–1819). She was a daughter of Overhofmarskal Christian Frederik Holstein-Ledreborg and Charlotte Elisabeth Henriette Innund Knyphausen. Her mother had served as Overhofmesterinde for Queen Caroline Mathilde.[1]
Krag-Juel-Vind-Friis died on 10 April 1815.[1]
