Founded in 1987, the firm operates across England with over 1,000 employees in seven offices.[1] The firm was acquired by Sun European Partners, the European affiliate of Sun Capital Partners, a major U.S. private equity firm, in 2021.[2]
The firm operates the consumer brand Patient Claim Line, which specialises in medical negligence claims and operates television advertising campaigns.[3] Fletchers is ranked Band 1 by Chambers and Partners for both personal injury and clinical negligence.[4] The firm handles claims against NHS Resolution, the body that manages clinical negligence claims for the NHS.[5]
History
[edit]Fletchers Solicitors was founded in 1987 by Rob Fletcher as a personal injury practice.[6] The firm expanded over the following decades, establishing offices across England.
In 2021, the firm was acquired by Sun European Partners for an undisclosed sum.[7] Following the acquisition, the firm has expanded through acquisitions, including the 2025 acquisition of Shoosmiths' serious injury practice.[8]
