Fimihan Uthman Akinola (born 24 February 2002), known professionally as Fimiguerrero, is a rapper, songwriter and record producer from Newham, East London, England. He is considered a pioneer of the emerging underground hip-hop scene.[1]
Early life
[edit]Fimihan Uthman Akinola was born in Nigeria. As a child, Akinola migrated to London, alongside his mother and his brother. After moving to London, he lived in several areas, such as Greenwich, Thamesmead, and briefly, Kent. During his time in Kent, his brother moved somewhere else which split the family up. Outside of this information, Akinola doesn't talk much about his family past. [2] According to Akinola, he started making music when he was in school, he claimed that he would take headphones that his school gave to him, and he would use that to record music and show them to his friends the following day. He was also greatly inspired by his mother's collection of fuji music.
After graduating high school, Akinola would go off to college, where he would later attend the prestigious, Oxford University, where at the University, he studied philosophy, and French literature. During his time in college, he wanted to drop out, but due to his parents strictness, he couldn't, despite this setback, he was able to graduate from the prestigious university.[3]
