Career

[edit]

In 2003, Filip Borcov founded Profis[5], his first startup project. It was an online consulting and website development company. Profis became the parent company for Borcov’s future projects, such as Site.pro and B1.

The domain name for Site.pro was bought in 2014, which was also the year when Borcov became CEO of the new company. Site.pro is a website building platform that integrates e-commerce and accounting features.

According to the statistics provided by Belarusian hosting service HB.by, Site.pro became the third most commonly used website builder in Belarus in 2022.[6]

In 2025, Filip Borcov joined Domain Summit Europe 2025 as one of the main speakers.[7]

International Client's Day

[edit]

The idea of Client's Day came to the entrepreneur when he wanted to express his gratitude to the clients.[8] However, he discovered that there wasn’t a suitable worldwide holiday dedicated specifically to them. Hence, Client’s Day emerged as a continuation of the anniversary of his company (March 19th).[9] Client’s Day was then supported by parliamentarian D. Kepenis[10] and mayor of Klaipeda V. Grubliauskas.[11]

The first Client’s Day initiated by Borcov took place in Klaipeda, Lithuania on 19 March 2010[12][13]. After the first celebration, more companies around the world started to adopt the new tradition, including IDBank[14], Ucom[15], Blackhawk Network Holdings[16], DHL, Sberbank[17], etc.[18]

During the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania in 2018, Borcov took part in the meeting[19] to defend the idea of including Client’s Day to the Lithuanian Memorial days list. He argued that the holiday was important for Lithuania as a way to promote the country and its culture. As a result the Seimas entertained the proposal of making Client Day an official holiday.
