Farcaster is a blockchain-based decentralized social media protocol.

Farcaster was founded by two former Coinbase employees. Farcaster enables developers to build applications on top of it's social protocol. In 2024, the team raised $150 million in funding, despite having just 80,000 daily users at the time. Warpcast, which functione similarly to X, is the most popular app on Farcaster.[1]
