In 2020, Hichame Assi, previously CEO of HotelsCombined, was appointed CEO of Envato.[7]
Growth and AI Integration

- InspoGen – a visual inspiration and design curation tool[10]
In 2025, Envato partnered with KitBash3D to offer a range of 3D model kits for use in digital content production.[11]
Acquisition by Shutterstock
[edit]In 2024, Envato was acquired by Shutterstock for USD $372 million. The acquisition expanded Shutterstock’s digital asset offerings and customer base by incorporating Envato’s marketplace and subscription offerings.[12]
