Earnest Sears III (born 4 December 1998) is an American high jumper.[1]
Early life
[edit]From California, he attended Bishop Alemany High School.[2]
Career
[edit]He was a silver medalist at the 2019 NACAC U23 Championships in Mexico in July 2019.[3][4]
Competing for the University of Southern California, he was runner-up at the NCAA Indoor Championships in 2021.[5] He was a two-time Pac-12 champion for USC.[6]
He was runner-up at the USATF Throws Festival 2024 in Tucson, Arizona, with a height of 2.23 metres.[7] He cleared 2.16 metres to finish eighth at the US Olympic Trials in June 2024.[8]
He finished third at the 2025 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships in New York, on 23 February 2025 with a jump of 2.17 metres.[9]
