Customers
[edit]ECOUNT primarily serves small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It offers a wide range of features that are essential for SMEs, and there are no additional fees beyond the subscription fee, making it ideal for SMEs who are overwhelmed by the upfront and maintenance costs of-built ERPs.[12]
ECOUNT users like the low cost, the ability to customize report forms, the steady stream of feature upgrades, the variety of features, and the integration management. On the downside, they cite limited integrations with other vendors and the lack of an offline version.[13]
When the program was launched, the goal was 10,000 customers.[14] From 1,300 customers in 2006, ECOUNT reached 1,700 customers in 2008 alone. The churn rate is less than 10%. In 2010, the program surpassed 7,000 customers and reached its original goal of 10,000 customers in 2011.[5] As of May 2025, 80,000 accounts are active.
Customer industries include manufacturing (41.6%), retail (35.6%), services (13.7%), and trade (3.9%).
Global expansion
[edit]As of 2025, ECOUNT operates eight global offices in South Korea, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines. A ninth office in Uzbekistan is expected to open in the second half of 2025.
Global offices provide localized customer service and localized features (e.g., SST in Malaysia, e-invoicing in Vietnam, etc.).[15][16] You can set VAT rates, currency denominations, account categories, etc. to match your local tax laws.
The program is available in nine languages: English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and Thai, and Russian will be added upon incorporation in Uzbekistan.
As of May 2025, 70 countries are using ECOUNT.
