Rishikesh Pandey (born 16 May 1992), also known as Devrishi is an Indian philosopher, author, composer and spiritual researcher. In 2025, he adopted the spiritual name Devrishi and started vedic mantra research.[1] He is the co-founder of the Sanatan Wisdom Foundation[2] a non-profit organization that works at the intersection of Vedic knowledge and modern science.[3] He also founded the publishing house Mahagatha.[4]
Early life and musical career
[edit]Rishikesh Pandey was born in the Panna district of Madhya Pradesh and started his career as a teacher and later shifted to Indore in 2015.[5] In 2016, he composed the songs Ho Halla as anthem for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan under Indore city awareness with singer Shaan.[6][7]
Media reports noted his contribution to Indore’s musical identity during its period of recognition as one of the cleanest cities in India.[8][9] In 2024, he composed the song Halla Bol with the voice of Sonu Nigam for awareness to give Indore the number one position for the eighth time for Swachh Survekshan 2025.[10]
Spiritual transformation and name change
[edit]On 15 January 2025, during the Kumbh Mela, Pandey adopted the name Devrishi and formally distanced himself from the entertainment industry, transitioning towards spiritual and sonic research.[1][5]
Projects and initiatives
[edit]In 2025, Devrishi co-founded the Sanatan Wisdom Foundation with Sadhana Pandey.[2][3] The foundation supports several initiatives across the domains of spiritual research, sound therapy, environmental awareness and cultural documentation.
Nada Yoga Research Institute
[edit]The Nada Yoga Research Institute (NYRI), a division of the Sanatan Wisdom Foundation, was established to conduct neurocognitive studies on vedic mantras using tools such as EEG, HRV, and fNIRS. Devrishi is the principal advisor to the institute and Dr. Gita Narahari, Ph.D. in Psychology, contributes as a researcher. The institute integrates traditional vedic sound practices with modern neuroscience to examine the psychophysiological impact of sacred sound.[3][11][12][13]
Svaryam
[edit]Svaryam is a digital wellness platform developed by the Sanatan Wisdom Foundation. As reported by ET Government, it offers guided mantra meditations, sonic therapy tracks, and user centric well being analytics.[3] According to The Financial Express, it also includes brainwave responsive mantra therapy, AI based emotional diagnostics and multilingual guided content.[11]
Sadanira
[edit]Pandey served as the creative director of the documentary series Sadanira which explores India’s river heritage. Documentary series is part of the madhya pradesh government's jal ganga samvardhan abhiyan is Produced under the guidance of Veer Bharat Nyas. It was officially launched on 20 June 2025 by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav during the Sadanira Samagam at Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal.[2][14][15] He also composed the Sadanira theme song, which was sung by Bollywood singer Shaan.[16][17]

[edit]- Shakari – Vikramaditya – a historical collaboration authored by P Narahari and Devrishi, based on the life and valor of the Indian emperor Vikramaditya.[18][19]
- The Coronation of Lord Rama – a devotional and historical account related to Lord Ram’s coronation in Orchha.[20]
- A Life-Changing Approach – a biography of Padma Shri swimmer Satendra Singh Lohia published by Mahagatha in 2024.[21][22]
