Dario Cannizzaro is an Italian-Irish writer and director whose work bridges literature, film, and audio storytelling.
His short-story anthology Of Life, Death, Aliens and Zombies[1] published in 2016[2] collected previously published short stories in magazines such as The Galway Review.[3]
His English-language debut novel Dead Men Naked[4] was published in 2017 to positive reviews, albeit remained limited to the indie channels.[5][6][7]
In 2018, Cannizzaro expanded into screenwriting & directing. His award-winning short film Trigger Warning screened at international festivals across the United States, Brazil, Japan, and Europe.[8] His original scripts have been semifinalist and quarterfinalist at the Austin Film Festival.[9][10]
He has written and directed the audio dramas "I Mari Segreti della Puglia"[11] and Strati (to be published in Dec 2025), both commissioned and funded by cultural and tourism authorities[12]
He lives in Cork, Ireland, and works internationally across Ireland, the UK, Italy, and the United States.
