Danbi Education Co., Ltd. is a South Korean education technology company founded in 2016. The firm has been covered by business media for corporate actions involving its majority owner and for the rollout of a localized version of its home-learning brand Wink in Indonesia.[1][2][3]

History

[edit]

Danbi Education was established in Seoul in 2016. A government content directory lists the company and links to its official site.[4]

In June 2023, The Asia Business Daily reported that Anchor Equity Partners resumed efforts to sell part of its stake in Etoos and, in the same portfolio context, noted an attempted IPO of Danbi Education as an alternative route for capital recovery.[5]

In June 2025, The Korea Economic Daily Global reported that Anchor Equity Partners sought to sell its majority stake in Danbi Education following a failed IPO attempt the previous year.[1]

Products and services

[edit]
  • Wink — a home smart-learning service for young learners. Indonesian business media covered its introduction and subsequent positioning in the Indonesian market in 2025.[2][3]
  • CATS and CATS English — services associated with academy and English-learning offerings. (General description only; independent sourcing focuses primarily on corporate activity and the Wink rollout cited above.)

International operations

[edit]

From 2025, Indonesian business magazine SWA reported Danbi Education’s entry into Indonesia with a localized version of Wink, including coverage of subjects and market positioning.[2][3]
