CVORM – Industry, SA is a Cape Verdean company founded in 2021, specialized in plastic recycling and transformation. It is headquartered in Ribeirão Chiqueiro, São Domingos, Santiago Island, Cape Verde.[1]
History
[edit]CVORM was founded by Edmilson Rocha and Jailson Rocha in 2021. The project arose from the need for sustainable solutions for the management of plastic waste in Cape Verde. It introduced recycling into the local economy, where plastic previously went only to landfills, with the aim of exporting to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) region.[2][3][1]
In March 2024, it participated in the Macao International Environmental Cooperation Forum (2024MIECF), dedicated to sustainability and ecological transition, aiming at the acquisition of equipment.[4][5][6][7][8]
Operations
[edit]The company operates in the recycling and transformation of plastic waste, producing items for industrial and domestic purposes,[9] through injection moulding, blow moulding, extrusion and thermoforming of plastic products. It also engages in the manufacture, trade, repair and maintenance of metal moulds.[1]
