The Caterham Seven 270 is a model of Caterham Seven produced by Caterham Cars, first announced in 2015[1] and discontined along with all Sigma powered Caterhams in 2022[2] when Ford announced the Sigma engine will no longer be available.

The 270 was available in both kit form and fully built from the factory. The customer could also choose if they wanted the traditional Series 3 (S3) chassis or the larger Series V (SV) chassis.

Another option available was the S or R pack. the S pack was was for mainly road going cars whereas the R pack was designed for customers that intended on using their 270 for more track oriented activities. Where the S pack included leather seats, a windscreen and other wheather kit. The R pack had Tillet GRP seats, with carbon fiber options, a full width aeroscreen and a carbon dashpanel.

The 270 can be upgraded to a Seven 310 with new cams and a new tune from the Caterham factory.

Gearbox

The 270 by default came with a 5 speed manual gearbox derived from an MK1 Mazda MX5, but could be optioned for a 6 speed manual gearbox.

Suspension

Like most modern Caterhams the 270 has double wishbone suspension at the front with a De Dion rear axle. By default the 270 had fixed height dampers but could be optioned to have adjustable platforms as well as stiffer springs for track use.
